This sales aid for Zithromax took on the controversial topic of macrolide resistance and the appropriate use of antibiotics. A review of the literature showed that among ambulatory patients with community-acquired pneumonia, only a very small number were likely to be macrolide resistant. These data are shown in the graphic on the first spread.
