Zithromax Z-Pak

The Zithromax Z-Pak, one of the first compliance packages, was designed to achieve 3 goals: (1) make the dosing regimen easy to understand (2 pills taken together on day 1 followed by 1 pill/day for four days), (2) explain the value of the medicine — why 6 pills cost about the same as 35 pills in a traditional antibiotic regimen, and (3) to let patients know that the drug keeps on working after its last dose on day 5, so that patients didn’t call their doctor on day 6 if they didn’t feel better yet.
